how would i go about getting a job as a makeup artist for models in new york?
i wanna work backstage runway doing make up. how could i get a job doing that? is there ne one who does this or has done this? advice??? what about average pay?? is it just u get job by job or r u full time or part time? what are the hours like?? thank u all so much for helping me i really apprechiate it

You could take your card to modelling agencies, get your foot in the door..they may be able to help you. even if ur just touching up, its something

everyone wants to do that…so you won’t start out as a makeup artist for models in new york.
Try starting out smaller. Go to a makeup stand, like MAC or Dior and ask how you would go about applying for their job.
I was at the MAC stand getting a makeover and was talking to the artist, I mentioned, “you’ve got the coolest job ever. I’d love to work here”…she replied, “you’d think. The novelty factor wears off pretty quick and you stop enjoying it after a while”. MAC has classes that you take with them…
Once you’ve worked for a reputable company you can move up if you have skill, then your dream might come true.
