It depends on the company. Did you get these business/agencies from your agent of found them on the Internet?
1. It’s always best to check out a company before you send them your info and money. Don’t just trust blindly.
2. If it was through your agent, it should be ‘safer’ as most likely they checked it out but still it best for you to check yourself.
3. While filling out the application, their site should have at least told you how long and even sent you a email saying your application was received.
