I think the first major thing is being the right height, 6 foot plus is good.

New York City can be rough when trying to break into the industry. Here are a list of requirements:
1.Learn the industry!
If you’re male . . .
* You can start out a little later, roughly between the ages of 18 and 25. They won’t want you to look too childish. The good news is that a man’s modeling career usually lasts longer than a woman’s, and since ten-year-old boys more often dream of blowing things up rather than strutting the Hugo Boss runway, this side of the biz tends to be less competitive as well.
* Average dimensions for a male model are a height of 5’11″- 6’2″ and a weight of 140-165 lbs. You should also be fit (not bulging with muscles, but definitely healthy).

male models are usually 5’11″ – 6’2″
you should be around that and not much shorter because for guys youve got to be oober tall.
you should weigh between 140 – 170 pounds
but of course you have to have an awesome body. you should have any fat or sellulite or flab, but work out eat healthy like fruit and vegetables no fats and lots of protein. build up that **** 6 pack!
and usually the chest measurments are 38 – 42 inches
take good care of your skin and hair.
grow your hair out a little bit longer and get an awesome hair cut
take polaroids with no make up of course haha i hope you dont wear it
in natural and a basic background
wear a plain t shirt or no shirt at all
take a picture of just your face not smiling, take one of your face smiling
then take a 3/4 picture , one frmo the side, and one full body length
no posing
then send these to the top new york agencies
you can find those at

you can email them all but youd have better luck mailing them directly because they rarely check their email
then cross your fingers and hope
theyll get back to you within 2 weeks but if not keep trying
if they dont like you someone else will!
